Ooops!!

So almost two months ago was my last post! Eeks! That's not good. My intended plans with this blog are to write and to post images, etc. whenever I can. Its also supposed to get me into the good habit of practicing something everyday. So lately I have been pretty busy!!! Everything has been pretty crazy for the most part. I was working a lot and doing something most of the day, so when I finally got a chance to get some sleep, I took it!
Things that are new and have happened since June
1) I got a kitten!! His name is Theodore and he's six months old now. He is the cutest and sweetest little guy. I'm completely in love with him and so happy I was impulsive and got him from the humane society.
2) The bathroom in our apartment got remodeled! We didn't think it was going to happen since many landlords are really awful and tend to be slum lords in our town. But it happened and in 2 weeks!! I am so impressed and happy.
3) I took a vacation to Kansas. My brother and his family live in Junction City outside Fort Riley. It was a sort of spontaneous vacation, my mom and I planned it very last minute! It was really exciting and fun.
so it's not a lot of stuff but it is a bunch of stuff that happened pretty quickly. I will hopefully be posting some pictures soon. check back for those!

Lazy summer days

So on Thursday I drove back to Alfred after eating lunch and watching two episodes of Carnivale!! I am so into this show! It's only two seasons long but so far it's really really good, with lots of mystery! Not only that but it lends to my love of old time carnivals and side shows. Since I've been back I have been pretty sick. I get really awful stomach aches that last for days, I've had them since I was twelve and I don't know what they're from, but lately I've been thinking stress is what causes them. They've gotten worse too, they used to just last around ten hours, but it has been three days!! I just want them to go away!! Anywhoo, I am looking for a job in the next couple of days, and I start my internship in a couple weeks. It already feels like summer is going by so fast, maybe because this summer is so different from the other ones. I'm living in my apartment and adjusting to all the newness of that and just living away from home, even though it's not that far. I think it's nap time, my tummy is not feeling great. I'll post more tomorrow.

Hello there!

This is my first posting on this blog. HOW EXCITING! I guess the first thing to do would be to introduce myself and give you a little insight into my life. I am 21 and originally from Buffalo, NY. I go to school at Alfred University's school of Art and Design. I am concentrating in Photography and Printmaking. I absolutely love Alfred. It's the perfect environment for myself, for this period of time in my life. Alfred is a very small town about 2 hours south of Buffalo, its population is made up of mostly college students and the town is a "college town". The people are friendly and welcoming, making the town very cute and isolated. (but not it a depressing sad way) It just allows for my friends and I to be together and get our work done, essentially we're in our own world.
I have a boyfriend, his name is Wade. He also went to Alfred University but graduated, he is now looking for graphic design work, he lives in Ithaca which is only 1 1/2 hours drive away from Alfred. We've known each other for a little over a year, it's been great. We have a similar sense of humor and we don't take many things too seriously, which I really love because even in serious situations I need comic relief and Wade always makes me laugh. I'm sure he will be included in some of my posts in the future. He is a really great artist and if you get a chance you should check out his web site... Wadeasa.com
I don't want to tell you all too much about myself... that's the point of keeping a blog, I guess. I plan to post images of my work, inspiration and events in my life. I hope you all enjoy what I have to share and please feel free to leave comments and to e-mail me!
